St Austell Brewery is now one of Cornwall’s largest employers, has a line of award-winning ales, owns 169 pubs and hotels and, rarely for an old successful family firm, it’s still run by the family.

The company has seen massive changes in the Cornish economy. Unlike many, it’s not only survived but has become a major force in the county and, with its Tribute ale, is now a nationally recognised name in British brewing. Part of that success has been because of geographical location.
