I'D RATHER BE IN CORNWALL CLUB

Tim Smit & Speed Networking 25/04/2007

Tim Smit, leading entrepreneur and Chief Executive of the Eden Project gave a dynamic and enthralling speech to over sixty people, made up of those who were interested in moving their business to Cornwall, as well as Cornish business support agencies and Cornwall based businesses. The event was held at the Entrepreneurs Club, Adam Street, in London.

Tim spoke about the benefits of doing business in the county, his own experiences of the business community in Cornwall, taking the leap of faith to create the Heligan Gardens and the Eden Project. He also spoke about Eden’s new project “The Edge”.

Following Tim’s speech, speed networking was carried out, co-ordinated by Jackie Gregory of New Business Matters, where each delegate was identified by a coloured badge. Every two minutes attendees were requested to move to the next person. The speed networking enabled interested businesses to speak to many of the support agencies and Cornish businesses who were on hand to have their questions answered.
